The Affordable Connectivity Program is accepting new enrollments for low-income households.

The federal program helps pay for internet service and connected devices. The Director of Civic Innovation, Madi Rogers, says that about 10,000 households are receiving the ACP benefit and that over 10,000 additional households are eligible but not yet enrolled.

Since funding has not been allocated for ACP this year, funding is expected to run out in April.

Households who have applied, been approved and are receiving monthly internet discounts before February 8 will continue to receive their ACP benefit until the funds run out as long as they remain enrolled in the program.
