The Indiana Senate has approved a bill that mandates the DNR to set up a hunting and trapping season for bobcats.

The bill easily passed and has been sent to the House for further consideration.

The bill requires the Department of Natural Resources to develop guidelines by July of next year.

The guidelines will cover the specifics of when, how, and where bobcat hunting can occur, as well as the limits set on hunting.
