Fire crews called to deal with fire at 100 Navarre Place at Memorial Hospital

The South Bend Fire Department was called before 8 a.m. to 100 Navarre Place to deal with an apparent vehicle fire in the parking garage.

According to video taken from the scene, smoke was pouring out of the 2nd or 3rd floor. The office space above the floors was evacuated out of caution.

There was no immediate report of injuries.

Traffic was blocked off for a short time in the area to allow crews the room they needed to fight the fire.

Please follow up on this story Was it an electric vehicle?? Many places are banning them for fire hazard
