Elkhart firefighters douse blaze at business on Paul Drive

The Elkhart Fire Department was called to put out a fire at a local business.

It happened around 9 a.m. on Saturday, Feb. 3.

Crews arrived to find heavy smoke coming from the eves and the tops of multiple overhead doors. All of the employees were able to get out safely.

Employees on scene told crews the blaze began in the office area and the building was currently undergoing renovations.

Crews quickly accessed the building, deployed hose lines to douse the flames.

Firefighters managed to get the fire under control in about 30 minutes.

There were no injuries. So far, there’s no word about the cause of the fire.
