One person killed in explosion at Cass County oil pumping station

One person was killed in an explosion at a privately owned oil pumping station in Cass County near the 19000 block of Bulhand Street.
It happened just before 4 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 5.
People who live nearby report hearing a big boom, followed by sirens from emergency vehicles a few minutes later.
The man who died has been identified as 71-year-old Charles Lawrence, 71, of Lakefort. A second man, from Osceola, was injured, but survived.
So far, there’s no word about the cause of the blast.
