Suspect arrested, juvenile taken to hospital after shooting on High Street in South Bend

A suspect has been arrested in connection with a shooting that wounded a juvenile on South Bend’s southeast side.

It was around 2:15 p.m. on Thursday, Feb. 8, around 2:15 p.m., when South Bend Police were called to the 3300 block of High Street on the report of a shooting.

Upon arrival, officers located a teenage victim, suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. He was transported to the hospital for treatment of non-life-threatening injuries.
