Listeria recall on salad ingredients reaches to Michigan

(CDC)

A deadly nationwide listeria contamination is affecting salad kits that were sold in Michigan.

Rizo-López Foods issued the recall on several dairy products after Listeria was discovered in them.

More than two dozen people were infected or hospitalized in 11 states, according to the CDC. Twenty-six people have been infected, and there have been reports of 23 hospitalizations and even two deaths.

No infections have been reported in Michigan but several salad kits were recalled because they have a possible link.
