Meth making a comeback in Michigan

a pile of glass shards on a black surface

Meth is making a big comeback in The Great Lakes State.

Michigan is spending hundreds of millions of dollars fighting its opioid epidemic, but many observers say some old established enemies — namely methamphetamine and cocaine — are making a comeback.

Bridge Michigan reports that recent drug test data from a national lab found meth and heroin detected in more than a third of tests from Michigan where fentanyl was also present. That ‘s an increase of 1% over the last decade.

Meth had been losing ground in the state for years after police crackdowns on labs.
