Water main break results in County-City Building closure

(Spencer Marsh/95.3 MNC)
The County-City Building was closed on Tuesday, March 5, due to a water main break in Courthouse 1.
All floors were flooded as a result of the break and the water was turned off in the building.
As a result, the Board of Commissioners meeting, which was supposed to ratify the termination of Sharon McBride, the former DuComb Center Director, has been canceled. Additionally, all other meetings that were scheduled for Tuesday were also called off.
It’s the second time in the past few months the building and courthouse had to close due to infrastructure problems.
