American workers are now leaving work an hour earlier on Fridays compared to 2021, according to analysis of 75,000 employees by ActivTrak.

The average sign-off time is now 4:03 pm, down from 5:01 pm in 2021 when remote work blurred boundaries.

This trend extends across the week, with Monday clock-offs at 4:53 pm and the earliest on Tuesday at 4:45 pm.

The changes coincide with ongoing debates among employers and workers about the pros and cons of remote versus hybrid work setups.
