A man from Middlebury was arrested after a wild police chase in Goshen.
The pursuit happened just before 10 a.m. on Monday, April 8.
Officers tried to stop Corey Standish, 19, in the area of 7th Street and Lincoln Avenue for a traffic infraction, but they say he led officers on a chase that ended with a crash in the Dunlap area at U.S. 33 and County Road 20.
After the collision, police say Standish tried to steal a vehicle from somebody who was pumping gas at a convenience store.
Standish was arrested on preliminary charges of resisting law enforcement, possession of marijuana and attempted auto theft.
