One person arrested, another at large after shopping mall shooting in Fort Wayne

Fort Wayne Police Department responded to a shooting at Glenbrook Square Mall around 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, May 4.

The shooting happened inside the mall. It’s believed that two men were armed in the food court and one of the men began shooting.

Two people were taken to the hospital for non-life-threatening injuries.  Only one of the injured parties was shot. The other is reported to have fractured a bone during a fight that broke out.

Police says 22-year-old Brandon D. Key, Jr. has been arrested on charges of criminal recklessness, intimidation, and resisting law enforcement.

The shooting suspect remains on the loose.

The mall remained closed on Saturday after the shooting.
