Johnson St. to be closed to undergo major makeover

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)
A busy street in Elkhart is going to look different soon. Johnson Street, from Beardsley Street to Bristol Street, will be closed for five days to undergo a major makeover.
This is a new approach for the city, as road closures like this usually take months to complete.
Mayor Rod Roberson explained that it’s a priority to finish quickly so crews will work around the clock instead of the usual eight-hour shifts.

I’d rather see Johnson street 5 lanes to CR 6. That wold be a real improvement. People want to get from point A to point B as quickly and safely as possible. Lets see if the “improvements” actually make that happen.
