Road closures for the construction of the trail and streetscape project connecting Downtown to Notre Dame will begin on Monday.

The project aims to promote safety for all modes of travel, calm traffic and improve infrastructure.

Construction will result in a road closure on Hill Street from Madison Street to the South Bend Avenue intersection.

South Bend Avenue will close from Hill to Notre Dame Avenue. On Wednesday, construction will begin resulting in a road closure on Notre Dame Avenue from Angela to South Bend Avenue.

The detour route for both closures will be Angela to Twyckenham to SR 23/Eddy St. to Lasalle. Construction is expected to wrap up on all streets in September.
