Alcohol could be a factor in a crash that injured a 27-year-old man in Cass County.
The collision happened around 6:45 p.m. on Sunday, May 19, on Bell Road, south of U.S. 12, when Cass County Sheriff’s investigators say the driver was traveling northeast at a high rate of speed and lost control of his vehicle entering a curve.  The vehicle struck a tree with the side of his vehicle.
The driver was not wearing his seat belt at the time of the crash.
He was taken by ambulance to Memorial Hospital in South Bend with non-life-threatening injuries.
