Whirlpool Corporation expands ‘Feel Good Fridge’ program

The Whirlpool Corporation has expanded its “Feel Good Fridge” program.

The Feel Good Fridge program provides refurbished fridges to food pantries and nonprofit organizations to deliver free, fresh food to anyone in need.

The expansion is being made possible by partnerships with HelloFresh and Total Quality Logistics. TQL will be transporting refrigerators, and HelloFresh will help fill them with wholesome and fresh ingredients.

Whirlpool Corporation officials say the program helps fight food insecurity in a sustainable way, and the program has already donated over 900 refurbished refrigerators in the last three years. They have also already assisted over 25,000 families, delivering over 250,000 pounds of food.

The program will remain dedicated to food-insecure areas with high concentration of needs, and West Michigan has already had 112 refrigerators replaced in the last few years.
