Michigan Rite Aid stores may be on the endangered list

These are worrisome times for Rite Aid stores across The State of Michigan.

That’s because the clock may be ticking down.

A recent document filed in U.S. bankruptcy court lists 12 Rite Aid stores set to close soon throughout Michigan. However, signs posted outside of a store in Lansing suggest that all Michigan locations will soon shut their doors.

Rite Aid has closed several locations due to its filing for Chapter 11 bankruptcy, including 19 in Michigan last year. A state union leader says he expects all Rite Aid locations in the state to be closed by the fall, though the company has yet to confirm that.

Berrien Springs, Buchanan, Cassopolis, Coloma, Dowagiac, Hartford, and Niles all have Rite Aid stores.
