A new initiative by Goshen Health aims to improve access to healthy food in vulnerable communities.
They plan to set up mobile garden sites across Elkhart and Kosciusko Counties. Goshen Health will supply pots, soil, plants, and tools at 17 community garden locations thanks to a state grant.
Officials believe these gardens will be especially beneficial in neighborhoods where fresh, nutritious food isn’t easily accessible.
