Applications open for SBPD’s Citizens Police Academy

Applications are now open for the South Bend Police Department’s Citizens Police Academy.
The fall academy starts August 13, and runs weekly through October 8. It takes place from 6 p.m. – 9 p.m. each Tuesday at the South Bend Police Headquarters on Sample Street.
Participants will take part in hands-on, interactive lessons from various specialty units of the South Bend Police Department, including:
Patrol
SWAT
Crime Scene Technicians
Bomb Squad
Hostage/Crisis Negotiators
K9 Unit
and mopre.
