After a five-day trial, Berrien County Parks and Recreation has announced the end of its “pay upon exit” parking.

The trial took place at Silver Beach.

The Parks officials say several critical issues were observed and documented during the trial and that data and feedback was gathered which will assist in long-term planning.

In order for the “pay upon exit” plan to work effectively, consultants say infrastructure investments are needed. They say the plan will remain a valid option to review.
