Portage Lakefront, Riverwalk to reduce hours for rest of summer

A Northwest Indiana lakefront will have reduced hours for the rest of the summer.
Indiana Dunes National Park officials say Portage Lakefront and Riverwalk is now open from 8 a.m. to 9 p.m.
They say the change comes following a spike in overnight vandalism and illegal beach fires.
Visitors are urged to report any suspicious activity to the park’s 24-hour dispatch at 219-727-5847.
