A new I-Phone feature leads to a man’s arrest in Knox County.
The Knox County Sheriff’s Office received a crash detection alert from an iPhone on South Vieck Road. That iPhone feature is meant to alert first responders with a location if it detects a serious crash.
Deputies found the phone along the side of the road, but there wasn’t an accident.
Dispatchers got in contact with the phone’s owner, who reported her ex-boyfriend, Benjamin Michael Youngren, 27, threw the phone from a moving car during an argument…
Youngren was arrested and now faces charges of: Domestic Battery resulting in serious bodily injury, Interference in reporting a crime (for taking the iPhone), and Invasion of Privacy.
