Hoosiers can now sign up to save lives when applying for professional licenses in the state.

Practitioners applying for professional licenses through the Indiana Professional Licensing Agency can now agree to be a lifesaving organ and tissue donor.

All license applications and those seeking a renewal will be asked if they wish to be a donor.

This can include nurses, hair stylists, accountants, dentists, plumbers and many others.

They’re hoping to increase the number of Hoosiers who want to give the gift of life, as one donor can save eight lives through organ donation and can heal up to 75 people through tissue donation.
