Rumors of a murder spread on Facebook after a post claimed two women were found decapitated. Authorities confirmed the rumor is false and noted it’s the second time it has circulated.
A post on Facebook said, “My brother just called and said someone found decapitated bodies by Gateway Court.” This generated hundreds of comments and shares, reaching the Sturgis Police Department, according to WSBT.
After investigating, police found no evidence to support the claims, and the rumor traced back to the same person both times, suggesting possible mental health issues.
