John Young Middle School student, 13, armed with knife arrested after making online threats

Mishawaka Police Department officers were called to John Young Middle School on Tuesday, Oct. 22, on the report of a online threat made by a student.

When the suspected 13-year-old student arrived at the school, she was taken to the principal’s office.

Once there, she pulled out a knife. She was able to be taken into custody without incident.

Luckily, nobody at the school were injured.

The student was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center.
