Niles man facing probation for Joey Armadillo’s disturbance

A Niles man has been sentenced to jail and probation for resisting police and causing damage outside a bar in Niles Township.
Darren Daniel, 45, pleaded guilty to resisting and obstructing police, illegal entry, and damaging property under $200. Leader Publications reports he was sentenced to 20 days in jail (with five days credited) and two years of probation.
The incident occurred in early August at Joey Armadillo’s in Niles Township, where Daniel caused a disturbance, attempted to re-enter the bar, damaged a car, and resisted police.
