Arrest made in suspected Benton Harbor home arson

The Benton Harbor Department of Public Safety says an apartment fire they responded to on Monday was the result of arson.

The fire was just after noon on Broadway in Benton Harbor on the second floor of a two-story apartment building. The fire was contained to one unit but the entire building suffered smoke and water damage, according to WSJM. No injuries were reported.

Two families were displaced and an arrest was made at the scene for arson. The suspect’s name has not been given.
