Police in Steuben County searching for wanted fugitive

Steuben County police are asking for the public’s help finding a wanted fugitive.

Tyron Jackson, 48, fled Steuben County in late August. Police say he has ties to Tallahassee, Florida and may be in that location.

Jackson is described as a black male, 5’6” tall, and 178 pounds. He has black hair and brown eyes, wears glasses and was last known to have a beard.

Jackson is wanted for misdemeanor domestic battery, misdemeanor invasion of privacy, two counts of level 3 felony sexual misconduct with a minor, and failure to appear on domestic battery.

Anyone with any information on the whereabouts of Jackson is asked to contact the Steuben County Sheriff’s Office at 260-668-1000 Ext. 5224, Steuben County Crime Stoppers at 260-668-STOP(7867), or your local law enforcement agency.
