The 39th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Community Celebration and Recognition event is set to take place on Monday, Jan. 20, at the Century Center, 120 S. Dr. M.L.K. Jr Blvd. This beloved community tradition will feature a variety of activities, including workshops, vendor exhibits, musical performances, children’s programming, and more.
This year’s theme, “Democracy Matters: Moving Forward with Fortitude, Not Turning Back,” underscores the ongoing relevance of Dr. King’s vision in today’s society.
As part of the celebration, a special keynote breakfast will be held earlier in the month. Joseph Donnelly, retired U.S. Ambassador to the Holy See (the Vatican), will deliver the keynote address at the breakfast.
