Indiana State Prison inmate pleads guilty to killing prison guard

An Indiana State Prison inmate has pled guilty to killing 57-year-old Lieutenant Gene Lasco and stabbing another correctional officer in February 2021.
TyMetri Campbell’s trial was to start Monday on the charges before he decided to enter the plea. Campbell is 42-years-old and will be sentenced to life in prison without parole.
He will be sentenced on Jan. 31.
