Elkhart Clinic temporarily closed for unknown vapor

The Elkhart Clinic on Nappanee Street is temporarily closed as crews investigate an unknown vapor.
Staff evacuated the building as a precaution, and patients were redirected for care. Firefighters and environmental crews responded for the second time in two weeks.
Last week’s issue stemmed from a crack in the foundation, and Thursday’s incident was similar, with a VOC detector picking up a spike.
The clinic may remain closed for several days.
