A woman has been sentenced for an auto and gun theft that happened last year.

37-year-old Brandy Lee Allen was sentenced to four years at the Indiana Department of Corrections with two years suspended on probation.

The vehicle theft happened in January of 2024 at Baymont Inn in Elkhart. Surveillance footage showed a woman exit a car and walk up to a Dodge Ram before driving away with it.

The truck was later found, though a gun and an iPad taken from inside the vehicle were not recovered.

The Goshen News says Allen was arrested and admitted to stealing the truck and the gun.
