Two bicyclists dead after being hit by SUV

Two people died after an SUV hit two bicyclists in LaGrange County.
Authorities received a call about the crash around 8:16 p.m. on Feb. 26 in the 5400 block of W. 100 S. which is southeast of Shipshewana.
Officers arrived to find both victims dead.
They’ve been identified as 57-year-old Lavern Yoder and 58-year-old Mattie Yoder.
The 20-year-old LaGrange man driving the SUV was not hurt.

I hope you can expand on this tragic story Folks hitting the Amish on their bikes and hitting their buggies from the rear is avoidable
