House Bill 1297 approved by House, Senate

House Bill 1297 has been approved by both the House and Senate.
The bill allows for the voluntary Yellow Dot Motor Vehicle Medical Information Program. This program aims to provide life-saving medical information to first responders in the critical moments following an automobile accident.
Lawmakers say this will significantly enhancing the safety and well-being of Hoosiers.
Representative Sue Errington of Muncie says it allows emergency responders to immediately access vital information about the injured individual’s medical history, allergies and conditions.
She believes this helps ensure timely, informed care during emergencies.
