The Indiana Department of Natural Resources is hosting the 2025 Midwest Walleye Challenge, a state-wide online fishing tournament for anglers to win prizes and assist with fishery management.
The tournament focuses on walleye, sauger, and saugeye species and runs until June 29. Participants can register for a $25 fee and compete in various categories, with cash prizes awarded biweekly and a grand prize at the end.
Anglers can use the MyCatch app to log their catches and track their progress on a live leaderboard. This tournament offers a citizen science opportunity to contribute to fisheries research in the region.
