Three-vehicle collision on Ash Road results in injuries

A multi-vehicle accident occurred on Ash Road south of County Road 16 at approximately 10:32 a.m. on May 6, 2025, when a freezer fell from a trailer, leading to significant damage and injuries.
The accident began when a Chevrolet GMT, traveling southbound on Ash Road and pulling a trailer with two unsecured freezers, lost one of the freezers into the northbound lane. The freezer was struck by a Chevrolet Equinox, sending it back into the southbound lane, where it was struck by a Ford Fusion.
The driver of the first vehicle was not injured, and their vehicle did not sustain damage. However, the Equinox sustained major front-end damage, and the Fusion sustained minor front-end damage.
The driver of the Equinox was transported to the hospital with complaints of side pain, while the driver of the Fusion was transported for high blood pressure.
The driver of the first vehicle was cited for operating a vehicle with an unsecured load and failure to provide vehicle registration.
