People rolled up their sleeves and grabbed sponges at UAW Local 5’s car wash fundraiser to help those affected by the New Prairie baseball bus crash.

The union donated everything—from soap to space—and will give all proceeds to the New Prairie Diamond Club to support the team and their families.

Peggi Singleton, a longtime member of the New Prairie school community, said the crash felt personal, and this event gave her a chance to give back.

Union members, students, and neighbors all pitched in.

Organizers say the strong turnout shows how much the community cares when someone needs help.
