The city of St. Joseph responded to negative community concerns by making some changes to downtown parking rules.
Effective immediately, city-owned lots are now free for residents who register their license with the city.
Additionally, paid parking enforcement hours have been adjusted to end at 5 p.m. instead of 9 p.m., better serving early dinner visitors.
Furthermore, seasonal paid parking will conclude earlier on Labor Day instead of the previously planned date of September 15.
