BBB Wise Giving Alliance launches dedicated platform for informed giving

Donors looking to verify a charity’s trustworthiness should now visit Give.org, the new home for all BBB charity evaluations. Previously hosted on BBB.org, charity reports and donor resources are now exclusively available through this dedicated platform managed by the BBB Wise Giving Alliance.
“At Give.org, we’re not just listing charities. We are informing donors about organizations that align with their values,” said Shannon Bearman, BBB’s Charitable and Educational Foundation executive director. “This site brings together trustworthy evaluations and practical guidance, so people can feel secure knowing their donations impact organizations that meet rigorous standards.”
Give.org offers easier access to trusted charity evaluations based on the 20 BBB Standards for Charity Accountability. The site helps donors make informed decisions and supports transparency in the nonprofit sector.
The site’s launch coincides with the release of the 2025 Give.org Donor Trust Special Report, which explores how data protection influences donation behavior. A national survey found that 69% of respondents worry their personal data could be hacked or stolen when giving to a new charity. Thirty-one percent were “very concerned,” and 38% were “somewhat concerned.”
Respondents also expressed concern about charities sharing their information or reviewing their social media profiles.
BBB’s Give.org urges donors to give thoughtfully by researching organizations before donating and verifying whether a charity meets BBB’s standards.
