A Wabash man is facing felony and misdemeanor charges after an investigation by the Indiana State Police Internet Crimes Against Children Task Force uncovered alleged online communications with minors.
The investigation began in April 2025 after authorities received a tip about an individual using an online account to contact underage individuals. Detectives from the ICAC Task Force pursued the lead, ultimately obtaining a search warrant through the Wabash County Prosecutor’s Office.
On Friday, July 18, members of the Indiana State Police ICAC Task Force, ISP Peru Post, and the Wabash County Sheriff’s Office executed the warrant at a residence belonging to Ethan Cornett, 24, of Wabash. Several electronic devices were seized during the search.
Cornett was arrested at the scene without incident and transported to the Wabash County Jail.
He faces the following preliminary charges of Child Solicitation and Inappropriate Communication with a Child.
