St. Joseph County Police looking for vehicle break-in, gun theft suspect

St. Joseph County Police are asking for the public’s help after a reported theft of a firearm from a vehicle in the early hours of Tuesday, Aug. 5, in the 19000 block of Sarah Street.

It was around 3 a.m. that morning when the homeowner alerted police after receiving a motion alert from his security camera.

Upon reviewing the footage, he observed a thin male wearing blue jeans and a light-colored hoodie inside his vehicle.

The homeowner then spotted the suspect fleeing on foot.

Upon further inspection, the homeowner discovered that his gun was missing from the vehicle.

First off, I hate thieves and this person needs to be caught and punished to the fullest extent of the law.

Second, the ‘homeowner’ deserves to be roundly reprimanded for leaving an unsecured firearm in an apparently unlocked vehicle. He/she is either and idiot of was complacent in the theft. (just for leaving it in the vehicle unattended I vote for idiot anyway).
