The Berrien County Health Department is offering free Narcan overdose training this month.

The department will host a drive-thru type seminar on August 27th at their office in Benton Harbor, and on the 28th in Niles to show the public how to administer the nasal spray. It’s designed to revive anyone who has stopped breathing after opioid use. People will learn how to identify a potential overdose situation and the steps necessary to properly administer Narcan. They will also receive a free Narcan kit.

Training will be from 9 a.m. to noon, and then 1 p.m. – 4 p.m.
