Woman trapped in SUV after crash with semi in South Bend

South Bend Fire crews had to free a woman from her SUV after a crash with a semi.

The collision happened just after 4 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 11, at Prairie Avenue and Irvington Street in South Bend.

A woman was trapped inside the vehicle, but crews were able to remove the driver’s door and free her in less than 10 minutes.

She was taken to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries.
