Speed appears to be a factor in a crash that claimed the life of a Berrien Springs man.

It happened around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 17, on Range Line Road south of Fernwood Botanical Garden in Buchanan.

Police say the vehicle, driven by 23-year-old Ryan Allen Stahl, went off the road, rolled several times, then struck a tree.

The driver was identified as 24-year-old Ryan Allen Stahl.

He died at the scene.
