Michigan State Police hiring event in Benton Harbor

The Michigan State Police will hold a hiring event Thursday, Aug. 21, from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Boys and Girls Club Teen Center in Benton Harbor.
The event will include the fitness and entry-level law enforcement tests, plus help with applications for trooper and motor carrier officer jobs.
Applicants must be at least 21 before recruit school, have a clean driving record, and no felony convictions. Lt. DuWayne Robinson said the department is looking for “good-hearted people” from all backgrounds to serve their communities.
Pre-registration is encouraged, but walk-ins are welcome. Arrive before 10:30 a.m. to complete testing. Details are at michigan.gov/mspjobs under “hiring events.”
