An Elkhart man has been sentenced for stealing his child’s mom’s car.

Kevin Starr reportedly went to the victim’s house for his scheduled parental visitation in February.

However, The Goshen News says the babysitter with the child at the time reported that Starr had taken the mother’s vehicle to make money doordashing and had crashed it in Michigan later in the day.

Starr was sentenced for auto theft to 18 months on alternative placement with a recommendation of Work Release.
