AAA’s tips for safe tailgating

(Photo supplied/AAA)

Football season is here, bringing along tailgating and more risks.

So, AAA is helping fans celebrate safely with guidelines to keep game days memorable for good reasons.

They say if you’re grilling outside the stadium, position your grill away from vehicles, tentas and flammable gear. Keep a fire extinguisher nearby, and never leave the grill unattended.

Be sure to extinguish all flames and coals when done and let everything cool completely before disposing of ashes properly.

If alcohol is being consumed by your party, always be sure to have a designated sober driver and have water available for all tailgaters.
