A suspect has been arrested after an apparent arson fire.
It was around 10 a.m. on Sunday, Sep. 14, when officers were called to the 50000 block of Mercury Drive in South Bend to help with a fire investigation. Early findings suggested arson may have been a factor.
During the investigation, detectives identified a suspect who also had an active warrant in St. Joseph County.
With the help of Mishawaka Police, officers made contact with 50-year-old Hana Mommohaad Musleh.
She was taken into custody on the warrant and transported to the hospital for injuries believed to have been caused by the fire.
Musleh has since been booked into the St. Joseph County Jail on a preliminary charge of Arson.
