The brother of U.S. Senator Jim Banks has passed away.

Senator Banks released the following statement on Wednesday evening, Sep. 17:

“I’m very sad to share that my brother Whitley County Commissioner Chad Banks tragically passed away this evening. Our family is devastated. Chad was a devoted husband and father to six children, a proud U.S. Air Force veteran, and a dedicated public servant. Please keep his wife Sarah, their children, my parents and extended family in your prayers.”

There was no immediate information about the cause of Chad Banks death.
