St. Joseph County Jail placed on lockdown due to inmate overdose

The St. Joseph County Jail was placed on lockdown after an inmate overdosed on drugs.
Police say other inmates alerted staff around 6 p.m. on Saturday, Sep. 20, officers and medical staff gave life-saving aid, and the man regained consciousness before being taken to the hospital.
Sheriff Bill Redman said the jail would remain locked down during the investigation.
